Finding a good balance of a credit mix plays an intricate part in having a high credit score. But, the mix or kind of credit is not the only component. Trying to have the right amount of credit utilization, length of credit history, good payment history, and other important factors to maintain a good to excellent credit score can be perplexing.
The next time you notice a decrease in your credit score, ask yourself have you increased your credit card balances? Have you missed any payments to creditors? Have you closed any credit accounts? There are several other important questions to explore but start with these. Remember, you are not a bad person because you are unable to balance the scale. Trying to do so will create undue stress.
